David T. Harris, Managing Director, is a Portfolio Manager at Tocqueville Asset Management L.P. Mr. Harris joined Tocqueville in 2002 and manages discretionary portfolios for individuals and family clients, as well as retirement plans, trusts, and eleemosynary institutions. Prior to joining Tocqueville, Mr. Harris managed investments at Carret and Company, where he expanded his value investing technique working with Mr. Phil Carret. From 1992 to 1998, he worked as a Senior Portfolio Manager at H.G. Wellington Capital Management. Mr. Harris began his career as a security analyst in Fahnestock & Company’s Research Department. He was also an institutional and retail broker at both Fahnestock & Co. and later at Brean Murray, Foster Securities, Inc. Mr. Harris earned a B.S. in Economics from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
