Lawrence M. Fields, Managing Director, is a Portfolio Manager at Tocqueville Asset Management L.P. Mr. Fields joined Tocqueville in 2008 and is a member of the fixed-income team. Prior to joining Tocqueville, Mr. Fields was head of the Specialized Investment Management Group at Bear Stearns Asset Management from its inception in 1985, ultimately holding the title of Senior Managing Director. Mr. Fields was with the New York Life Insurance Company from 1969 to 1985, where he held equity and fixed-income positions within its Investment Department, ending his tenure as Investment Vice President and Equity Portfolio Manager. He earned a B.S. in Accounting from Ohio State University and an M.B.A. in Finance from New York University. Mr. Fields serves on the Investment Committee of the New York Police & Fire Widows’ and Children's Benefit Fund. He is also a member of the New York Society of Security Analysts.
